OptimizeMyLife — Refund & Billing Policy
Effective July 14, 2026
This Refund & Billing Policy (the "Billing Policy" or "Policy") explains, in plain language, how we charge you: how paid plans and one-time purchases work, how prices and taxes are shown, how subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and how refunds work at OptimizeMyLife and Félix. It is written to be honest and readable — no fine-print traps — while remaining complete and legally sound.
This Policy is part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service, and it should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Where this Policy and the Terms of Service both speak to a billing or refund matter, this Policy governs the specifics of that matter. Words we capitalize but don't define here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
Your rights come first. Nothing in this Policy takes away or waives any right that mandatory consumer-protection law gives you. Where the law where you live grants you a stronger right than this Policy — a longer cancellation or refund window, a cooling-off period, or a mandatory remedy — that stronger right applies (see Section 22).
1. Who we are, and what this Policy covers
OptimizeMyLife is operated by 9569-7173 Québec inc., doing business as OptimizeMyLife ("we", "us", "our"). Our registered address is 780 chemin du lac Brompton, Orford, Québec, J1X 6L7, Canada. "You" and "your" mean the person or entity on the account. You can reach us any time at support@optimizemylife.ai.
This Policy applies to every paid element of OptimizeMyLife, however you access it — the web chat, the mobile app, the desktop app, and the Telegram bot and Mini App. It covers recurring subscriptions, one-time purchases (including powers and add-ons), lifetime packs, and founder discounts and other promotional pricing.
This Policy is about money — prices, renewals, cancellation, and refunds. It does not change what Félix can and cannot do, or the honest limits of an early preview; those are in the Terms of Service.
2. Definitions
- "Subscription" — a plan billed on a recurring basis (monthly unless another interval is shown at checkout) that renews automatically until cancelled. This is a contract of successive performance.
- "Billing Period" — the interval you have paid for (for example, one month), starting on your purchase or renewal date.
- "Power" — an individual capability, feature, or add-on you unlock for Félix. Some powers are included in a Subscription tier; others are bought separately as a one-time purchase or drawn from a balance.
- "Consumable Power" — a power, credit, or metered capability that is used up as you use it. Once run, it has been delivered.
- "Lifetime Pack" — a one-time purchase that grants access to a defined set of features or content for the operational life of that offering, as described where you buy it (Section 14).
- "Founder Discount" — the early-supporter pricing in Section 10.
- "Service Fee" — any processing, handling, or platform cost that may apply to a transaction, as disclosed at checkout. We describe such costs to consumers only as service fees; we never present or pass them on as "card fees" or card surcharges (Section 5).
- "Payment Processor" — our third-party payment providers, currently Stripe, with LemonSqueezy as a redundancy. The Payment Processor shown at your checkout handles that transaction. Where you purchase through an app store, Apple or Google processes that transaction instead (Section 6.2).
- "FOX key" — the key that is your identity and your access to the service, as described in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
3. What you can buy
OptimizeMyLife gives you Félix, an AI companion and personal assistant. You can pay for the service in three ways:
- Subscriptions — recurring plans across six tiers, currently ranging from US$25 to $300 per month as displayed at checkout. Each tier, what it includes, and its price are described where you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel (Section 7).
- One-time purchases ("powers") — individual capabilities or add-ons you buy once, charged a single time (Section 13).
- Lifetime packs — one-time purchases that give access for the operational life of the product, on the terms in Section 14.
We only sell what actually works today. OptimizeMyLife is an early preview, and we do not charge you for powers that are not built yet. If something you bought is later changed or retired, Section 15 explains what happens.
4. Prices, currency, and taxes
4.1 Prices are shown before you pay. The price of each Subscription tier, power, and Lifetime Pack, the billing interval for subscriptions, and any applicable Service Fee are displayed at checkout before you confirm. By completing a purchase, you agree to the price and terms shown on that checkout screen for that item at that time.
4.2 Currency. Your Subscriptions and purchases are billed in the currency shown at checkout (USD unless otherwise stated). If your card or bank account is in a different currency, your bank or card issuer may apply its own conversion rate and fees, which are outside our control.
4.3 Taxes. Prices may be shown exclusive or inclusive of applicable taxes. Where taxes apply — for example, Canadian GST/HST and Québec QST, or the sales tax, VAT, or local taxes of your jurisdiction — the tax amount is added where required and shown before you confirm.
5. Service fees — never a "card surcharge"
The price you see is the price for the service. We do not add a surcharge for paying by credit or debit card. Any platform or processing cost is treated as our Service Fee and is either already reflected in the displayed price or disclosed at checkout as a Service Fee — never as a "credit card fee," "card surcharge," or similar, and never as an extra charge for the payment method you chose. This is consistent with the Québec Consumer Protection Act, which prohibits passing card-processing costs to consumers as a surcharge.
6. Payments, card handling, and app stores
6.1 Direct payments. Direct payments are handled by our Payment Processors — Stripe, with LemonSqueezy as a redundancy — which charge your payment method on our behalf. We do not store your full payment-card number. Card handling, storage, and security are performed by the Payment Processor under its own certified controls. See our Privacy Policy for how billing data is handled.
6.2 Purchases made through an app store. If you buy a Subscription or power through the Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase system, that purchase is processed by Apple or Google under its own terms, and Apple's or Google's rules — not this Policy — govern how that specific transaction is billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded. To cancel an app-store Subscription or request a refund on an app-store purchase, use the app store's own tools (for example, your Apple ID or Google Play account settings); we cannot cancel or refund a charge we did not process. Where the law gives you rights against us directly, those rights are unaffected, and the consumer protections in Section 22 continue to apply.
7. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
The deal, disclosed up front:
- Billed in advance. Subscriptions are billed at the start of each Billing Period (monthly unless a different interval is stated at checkout).
- Renews automatically. Your Subscription renews automatically at the end of each Billing Period, at the then-current price for your plan, and your saved payment method is charged again — until you cancel. This is disclosed here and at checkout, so there are no surprises.
- What each renewal costs. Each renewal is charged at the price of your plan in effect at that time. If that price has changed, Section 9 applies.
- Indeterminate term. Unless a fixed term is shown at checkout, Subscriptions run for successive Billing Periods on an ongoing basis, and you may cancel at any time to stop the next renewal (Section 11).
By subscribing, you acknowledge that the Subscription renews automatically, the price and interval of each renewal, that you will be charged automatically at each renewal, and how to cancel.
8. Renewal reminders and your right to notice
We send billing confirmations for the charges we make. In addition, where required by the Québec Consumer Protection Act, California's automatic-renewal law, or comparable consumer laws that apply to you, we send a renewal or payment reminder in advance of a renewal so you have a real chance to cancel before you are charged. For any fixed-term Subscription long enough to trigger a statutory advance-notice window, we send that notice within the window the law requires.
Keeping a current email address on file is your responsibility. Except where the law makes advance notice a condition of the charge, a reminder is a courtesy and is not a precondition to a renewal charge you already agreed to at signup.
9. Price changes
9.1 Applies only to your next renewal. If we change the price of a Subscription tier, or introduce or change a Service Fee, the change applies only to your next renewal — never to a Billing Period you have already paid for.
9.2 Notice and choice. We will make a reasonable effort to tell you, by email and/or in the product, before a price change to your existing Subscription takes effect. If the new price isn't for you, you can cancel before your next renewal (Section 11) and the change will never be charged.
9.3 Continued use. Continuing your Subscription past the effective date of a disclosed price change means you accept the new price for future Billing Periods.
10. Founder Discount (−25% for life)
10.1 What it is. The first 500 founding customers to activate the Founder Discount receive 25% off the standard price of their Subscription tier, applied as a recurring discount for as long as that Subscription stays active and continuous ("for life").
10.2 It keeps its value through price changes. The 25% is applied against the then-current standard price of the tier. If the standard price changes (Section 9), the discount continues to apply to the new price at each renewal. What is preserved is the discount rate, not a fixed dollar amount.
10.3 What ends it. The Founder Discount is tied to your continuous Subscription. It ends, and does not automatically return, if you cancel, if your Subscription lapses for non-payment beyond any grace period (Section 16), or if you let it expire. Re-subscribing later is at standard pricing unless a founder slot and offer are still available. The Founder Discount is personal to your account, is not transferable, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.
10.4 Availability. Once the 500 founder slots are filled, the offer closes. Refunds on discounted charges are calculated on the amount you actually paid.
11. Cancellation
11.1 Cancel any time, easily. You can cancel a Subscription at any time from your account settings or by writing to support@optimizemylife.ai. Cancelling is designed to be as easy as subscribing, with no cancellation fees or lock-in penalties. If you subscribed through an app store, cancel through that store's account settings (Section 6.2).
11.2 What cancellation does. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access to your paid features through the end of the Billing Period you have already paid for; access then ends. Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the current Billing Period — for that, see Section 12.
11.3 Your data. Because access is tied to your FOX key, cancelling ends future billing but does not, on its own, delete your data. You control your data separately and can erase it at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
11.4 Effect on Founder Discount. Cancelling ends the Founder Discount (Section 10.3).
12. The 14-day pro-rated refund
If OptimizeMyLife isn't right for you, here is our refund promise. These are the same refund terms stated in our Terms of Service.
12.1 Window. Write to support@optimizemylife.ai within 14 days of a charge.
12.2 Subscriptions. We refund that charge pro-rated to the usage you actually consumed during the Billing Period. You pay only for the portion you used, and the unused remainder comes back to you.
12.3 One-time powers and lifetime packs. If you have not used the item, you get a full refund within the 14 days. If you have partially used it, we refund it pro-rated to usage. Powers, credits, or metered usage that have already been fully consumed are non-refundable, because the value has been delivered (Section 15).
12.4 How pro-ration is calculated. For a Subscription charge, we deduct from the amount paid (a) the value of the portion of the Billing Period that has elapsed up to your refund request, and (b) the value of any Consumable Powers or metered usage already delivered during that period. The remainder is refunded. "Usage" reflects the time and/or capabilities you actually drew on. We calculate it reasonably and in good faith, and we will explain the math on request.
12.5 Scope. The 14-day window applies to the charge you contact us about within 14 days of that charge. It is not a standing right to a refund on every past renewal.
12.6 How to request a refund — securely. Email support@optimizemylife.ai from the address on your account, and tell us which charge you mean. Please do not send your full FOX key or full card number by email — we do not need them to process a refund, and you should keep them private.
12.7 Refund method and timing. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through the Payment Processor that handled the charge (Stripe or LemonSqueezy). If you paid through an app store, the refund is handled by Apple or Google under its rules (Section 6.2). Once we process a refund, it usually appears within a few business days, though the exact timing is set by your bank or card issuer and is outside our control. We do not refund by cash or to a different account.
13. One-time purchases (powers)
13.1 Charged once. A one-time power or add-on that is not part of a Subscription is charged a single time at the price shown at checkout, and does not auto-renew unless the checkout clearly states otherwise.
13.2 Delivery. A one-time purchase is considered delivered when the corresponding power, credit, or access is made available to your account. Refunds follow Section 12.
13.3 Eligibility limits. Some powers are limited by plan, region, or eligibility. In particular, Félix's assistant and installer powers are not available to minors, and the agent is 18+ (see Section 20). Eligibility limits are shown where you buy.
13.4 Honesty. Consistent with our early-preview commitments, we do not sell powers that are not yet built.
14. Lifetime packs
14.1 What "lifetime" means, honestly. A Lifetime Pack grants access to the defined set of features or content described where you buy it, for the operational life of the OptimizeMyLife service — without a recurring charge. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product, feature set, or service line as we continue to offer it. It is not a personal guarantee that the product will exist forever. We are an early preview and we say so plainly.
14.2 Scope and limits. A Lifetime Pack covers only what is described at purchase. It does not automatically include future powers, tiers, or separately sold add-ons unless stated.
14.3 Refunds. Lifetime Packs are covered by the 14-day refund in Section 12, pro-rated to usage. After 14 days, or once the pack has been substantially used, it is non-refundable except where local law gives you a stronger right (Section 22).
14.4 If we retire it. If we permanently discontinue a paid lifetime capability, Section 15 applies.
15. What is non-refundable, and changes to what you bought
- Consumed powers. One-time powers, credits, or metered usage that have already been used are non-refundable, because the value has been delivered.
- After the window. Charges older than 14 days are generally non-refundable, except where local consumer law gives you a longer or stronger right (Section 22).
- Duplicate or erroneous charges. These are not "refunds" in the sense above — if we charge you twice for the same thing or make a billing error, tell us and we will correct it.
- If we retire something you paid for. If we permanently discontinue a paid capability you were actively relying on during a Billing Period you paid for, we will act fairly — for example, by offering a comparable replacement or a pro-rated refund of the unused, undelivered portion. We will not keep charging you for something we have taken away.
- Abuse. To the extent the law allows, we may decline or limit refunds we reasonably believe are fraudulent, made in bad faith, or an abuse of this Policy (for example, repeated buy-use-refund cycles). This does not affect any mandatory refund rights you have under Section 22.
16. Failed or missed payments
16.1 Retries and grace. If a renewal payment fails, we or the Payment Processor may retry the charge and may give you a short grace period to update your payment method. We will attempt to notify you.
16.2 Suspension or downgrade. If payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts, we may suspend, downgrade, or end paid access until payment succeeds. Access to paid powers may pause during this time. This does not create a debt beyond the fees for service you actually continued to receive, and it never triggers a card surcharge (Section 5).
16.3 Effect on discounts. A lapse for non-payment may end promotional pricing, including the Founder Discount (Section 10.3).
17. Chargebacks and disputes
17.1 Talk to us first. If you see a charge you don't recognize or believe is wrong, please contact support@optimizemylife.ai before disputing it with your bank or card issuer. We can almost always resolve it faster and more directly than a bank dispute.
17.2 Chargebacks. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in suspension of access while the dispute is investigated. If a chargeback is found to be unwarranted, we reserve the right, to the extent the law allows, to recover the disputed amount and any resulting fees and to require valid payment before restoring access. This never limits your genuine legal right to dispute an unauthorized or erroneous charge, and it does not limit your rights under Section 22.
18. Early preview and this Policy
OptimizeMyLife and Félix are offered as an early preview: features may change, be added, or be removed, and Félix can be wrong, unavailable, or incomplete, as described in the Terms of Service. Paying does not change the early-preview nature of what you receive today. Your billing rights under this Policy and under mandatory law are not affected by the early-preview status.
19. No professional advice; actions need your OK
Félix's responses are generated by third-party AI engines and are not professional medical, legal, financial, tax, or therapeutic advice, as stated in the Terms of Service. Refunds are governed by this Policy and by mandatory consumer law — they are not available on the basis that a response was, or was not, suitable as professional advice, because the service is not sold as professional advice. Actions that commit money or time always require your explicit approval, as described in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
20. Minors
We do not create accounts for children, and paid accounts must be held by someone old enough to enter a binding contract in their jurisdiction. Content for kids and teens is parent-mediated: a responsible adult holds the account and is responsible for any charges. Félix's assistant and installer powers are not available to minors, and the agent is 18+.
21. Your data, your key, and billing
Your access and identity are tied to your FOX key — anyone who holds it can reach your account, so keep it private (see the Terms of Service). We handle the personal information tied to billing as described in our Privacy Policy, in accordance with Québec's Law 25 and Canada's federal PIPEDA/LPRPDE, including our commitment to assess and, where required, report a confidentiality incident affecting your personal information. We do not store your full payment-card number (Section 6).
Questions about the personal information tied to your billing can be directed to our Privacy Officer / Responsable de la protection des renseignements personnels, Maxime Jodoin, at support@optimizemylife.ai.
22. Your stronger local rights come first
22.1 Stronger rights prevail. Nothing in this Policy limits or waives any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot be waived. Where such law gives you a stronger right than this Policy — a longer cancellation or refund window, a cooling-off period, or a mandatory refund — that stronger right applies, and this Policy is read down accordingly.
22.2 Québec (Consumer Protection Act). For consumers in Québec, our automatic-renewal Subscriptions and this Policy are intended to comply with the Loi sur la protection du consommateur, including its rules on contracts of successive performance and automatic renewal, advance renewal notice, clear disclosure of price and renewal, easy cancellation without penalty, distance-contract protections, and the prohibition on passing card-processing costs to consumers as a surcharge (Section 5). Mandatory Québec consumer rights prevail over any conflicting term here.
22.3 Canada (federal). Consumer and contract protections under applicable federal and provincial law continue to apply. Our handling of personal information tied to billing is governed by PIPEDA/LPRPDE and Québec's Law 25 (Section 21 and the Privacy Policy).
22.4 European Union / EEA / UK. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal (typically 14 days) for distance contracts. Where you ask us to begin providing a digital service or you consume digital content during that period with your acknowledgement, that right may be reduced or lost to the extent the service has been supplied, as permitted by law. Our 14-day pro-rated refund (Section 12) is designed to be at least as favourable in most cases; where the statutory right is stronger, it applies. EU/EEA/UK data-protection rights (GDPR/UK GDPR) are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
22.5 California / United States. If you are a consumer in California or elsewhere in the United States, mandatory rights under applicable law — including automatic-renewal disclosure and easy-cancellation laws, and privacy rights under the CCPA/CPRA — apply and prevail over any conflicting term here. Privacy rights are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
If your local law requires a refund or cancellation right beyond what is written above, we follow your local law.
23. Language / Langue
The English version of this Policy is the governing version, and a French version is provided. For consumers in Québec: in accordance with the Charter of the French Language (Bill 96), the French version is made available to you, and if there is any divergence between the English and French versions concerning a mandatory consumer right, the interpretation most favourable to the consumer prevails.
24. Trials and promotional offers
If we offer a free trial, introductory rate, or other promotional period, its terms — including its length, what it converts to, when the first full charge occurs, and how to cancel before that charge — are disclosed at signup and govern that offer. Unless clearly stated otherwise, a trial or introductory period converts to a paid Subscription at the standard price and renews automatically (Sections 7 and 8) until you cancel.
25. Changes to the service and this Policy
25.1 Service changes. As an early preview, the service and its powers, tiers, and pricing may evolve (Section 9 governs price changes to existing Subscriptions; Section 15 governs retired features). We will act reasonably and in accordance with mandatory law.
25.2 Policy changes. We may update this Policy as the product grows. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Changes apply going forward — to charges and renewals after the change — and never retroactively remove a refund right you already had for a past charge. Continuing to use paid features after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy for future transactions.
26. Disclaimers (billing)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting the "as is" / "as available" disclaimers in the Terms of Service: except for the refund commitments expressly stated in this Policy and any rights that mandatory law grants you, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding paid features or powers or their fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that any paid feature will be uninterrupted, available, or error-free. Nothing in this Section excludes any warranty, condition, or legal guarantee that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including the legal warranties owed to consumers under the Québec Consumer Protection Act.
27. Limitation of liability (billing)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and in addition to the limitation of liability in the Terms of Service: our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or relating to billing, payments, powers, or this Policy is limited to the total amount you paid to OptimizeMyLife in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising from billing or payment matters — including failed, delayed, or duplicated charges, Payment Processor errors, or currency-conversion or bank fees applied by your financial institution. Nothing in this Section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection law, and it does not reduce the refund rights set out in this Policy or in Section 22.
28. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless 9569-7173 Québec inc., doing business as OptimizeMyLife, and its officers, directors, and personnel, from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of this Policy or the Terms of Service, (b) your misuse of paid features or powers, or (c) an unwarranted chargeback or payment dispute you initiate (Section 17). This Section does not apply to the extent a loss results from our own fault, and it does not apply where you are a consumer and applicable consumer-protection law prohibits such an indemnity (including under the Québec Consumer Protection Act).
29. Dispute resolution and arbitration (where permitted)
29.1 Informal resolution first. Please contact support@optimizemylife.ai first; we try to resolve billing issues quickly and directly.
29.2 Arbitration where permitted. Where and to the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute relating to billing or this Policy that is not resolved informally shall be settled by final and binding arbitration on an individual basis, seated in the Province of Québec, and not as a class or representative proceeding.
29.3 Mandatory carve-outs. This arbitration and class-action-waiver provision does not apply where it is prohibited or unenforceable by law. In particular, and without limitation, consumers in Québec retain their right to bring proceedings before the competent courts and to participate in class actions, as guaranteed by the Québec Consumer Protection Act; nothing here obliges a Québec consumer to arbitrate or waives that right. Consumers elsewhere retain any equivalent non-waivable rights under their local law. Either party may also bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court where available.
29.4 Time to bring a claim. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim relating to billing or this Policy must be brought within one (1) year after the event giving rise to it, except where mandatory law — including consumer-protection law — allows a longer period, in which case that longer period applies.
30. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Québec, judicial district of Saint-François, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the place where you reside.
31. General
31.1 Severability. If any provision of this Policy is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision is read down to the minimum extent necessary.
31.2 No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
31.3 Assignment. You may not assign this Policy without our consent. We may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; in that case, the successor will be bound by the same confidentiality commitments that apply to your personal information, and personal information from connected accounts (for example, Google) will be transferred only in accordance with your consent and the applicable Privacy Policy and platform requirements. Any assignment remains subject to your rights under mandatory law.
31.4 Entire agreement. On billing matters, this Policy, together with the Terms of Service and the price and terms shown at your checkout, is the entire agreement between us.
31.5 Survival. Any provision of this Policy that by its nature should survive termination, cancellation, or expiry — including provisions on amounts owed for service already delivered, non-refundable consumed powers (Sections 12 and 15), chargebacks and disputes (Section 17), your data and Privacy Officer contact (Section 21), your stronger local rights (Section 22), disclaimers (Section 26), limitation of liability (Section 27), indemnification (Section 28), dispute resolution (Section 29), governing law (Section 30), and this Section 31 — continues in effect after your Subscription or account ends.
